We invite you to become a member of the Friends. Membership runs for one calendar year from the time you sign up.

As a group of citizens did in in 1972, it is a way we can demonstrate to the community our support of the Library.  Help us continue this important tradition.

Here are a few of the recent contributions made by the Troy Library’s Friends:

  • Purchase of Books, E-books, Streaming Services and Hot Spots
     
  • Finance the Museum Pass program which provides free admission to 13 area museums
     
  • Underwrite the Adult and Young Peoples’ Special Reading Programs
     
  • Support the Summer Shorts-Out-Loud program
     
  • Contribute to infrastructure upgrades and enhancements that enrich the experience of patrons such as:
    • New carpeting for the Young People’s areas at Lansingburgh and Main
    • A shiny new Book Drop at Lansingburgh
    • New Lighting for the Stacks at Main
    • Repainting the Young People’s area at Main
    • A match for the cost of the LED lighting at Lansingburgh

As an IRS registered nonprofit your contributions should fully tax deductible. Because the Friends is an all-volunteer organization, nearly all of your contributions support library projects.
