The Library is currently waiting for the approval of a 2025 Public Library Construction Grant for $275,000 to fund a roof reconstruction at the Lansingburgh branch. Once that work is completed, the Library will be able to move forward, using the over $23,000 donated last year and additional gifts, to renovate the Children’s area — creating an even more welcoming and inspiring space for our youngest patrons.

We live in challenging times. As families face economic instability and our library contends with the loss of federal funding which helps to cover non-operational expenses, the Friends are committed to ensuring everyone in our community has access to the tools, information, and the support they need.  Now more than ever, people rely on the Library -not just for books- but for unbiased information, job resources, digital access, safe gathering spaces, and so much more.

Your continued support will help us maintain this momentum and meet the growing needs of our community. Whether it’s finishing long-overdue facility updates, expanding resources for young people, or safeguarding access to free and factual information — your gift matters. Help us help the Library be as effective as possible.

If you prefer to write a check, address it to Friends of the Troy Public Library, and print out this printable form.]
